This year's Rotary Club of Monaghan annual golf classic will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd August at Rossmore Golf Club in Monaghan. Proceeds from this charity fundraising event and our Rotary theme 'Building Communities-Bridging Continents' is very apt to this years event. The event requires 4 person team and a variety of contests, prizes and raffles will take place on the day.
Eoghan quigg lights up monaghan!
Eoghann Quigg gave the Monaghan public an evening to remember when he came to town to turn on the Christmas lights. Excited fans, young and old, queued to meet the X Factor star before performing live to a huge crowd in the town centre. Eoghann was supported by the Monaghan Gospel Choir. Monaghan Rotary are again delighted to have been involved.
Shelterbox Display and Blood Pressure Clinic
Monaghan Rotary Club held a very successful Shelterbox Display and Blood Pressure Clinic at Monaghan Shopping Centre in early November - The Club were able to purchase six Shelterboxes at the end of November at a cost of some €3000 - and with the aid of the Nursing staff of Monaghan Hospital checked nearly 300 of the public for Blood Pressure.

His Excellency, Mr Emil Savov Yalnazov the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Ireland paid an official to Monaghan on Friday 4th September last and carried out a number of official functions to express the Gratitude of his people to the Club and the people of Monaghan.
25 years for north down rotary club
The North Down Rotary Club recently celebrated 25 years since the inauguration of the club at a special event in Hillsborough Castle. It was well attended by members from the Monaghan Rotary Club which is twinned with North Down. 25 members attended the event with partners.

The annual Monaghan Rotary Club golf classic took place on the August bank holiday weekend and was excellently supported by the golfers of Co. Monaghan with support from over 40 teams of four. With a score of 106 points, the foursome from McArdle Office Supplies won the tournament.

The Monaghan Rotary Club recently hosted a very successful Blood Pressure Clinic in the Monaghan Shopping Centre -special thanks to the Nursing Staff of Monaghan General Hospital.

Monaghan Rotary Club hosted their annual Presidents night at the Four Seasons Hotel. Presentations on the night included a handcarved Rotary Wheel from club president John Treanor to District Governor Paul Hutchinson.
