Eoghann quigg lights up monaghan!
The X Factor came to Monaghan in November when Eoghann Quigg came to town to officially turn on the towns Christmas lights. Eoghann was greeted by hundreds of adoring fans, young & old, in the Monaghan Shopping Centre where he signed autographs and posed for photographs.
Later in the evening, the X Factor 2008 finalist walked on stage in the town centre to be greeted by a huge cheer before dazzling the crowd with a live performance that even Simon Cowell would have been amazed at!
Christmas was certainly in the air when Eoghann was joinedon stage by the Monaghan Gospel Choir for a song and before long Santa Claus himself made his annual appearance.
The evening was topped off with a countdown to the big switch on of the Christmas lights followed by a huge cheer as Monaghan towns festive season was kicked off in style. The evening proved a great success and there was a definite buzz of excitement as the crowd began to disperse.
